The Northwestern University Libraries have provided audio and video digitization and delivery services to their community since the late 1990’s.  When Northwestern University joined forces with Indiana University in August 2010 to plan the Avalon Media System, the team's experience in workflow management, event monitoring and messaging, and server-based conversion enhanced its contributions. Northwestern University has developed the Avalon Media System in partnership with Indiana University since October 2011 and were proud to announce their implementation of the Avalon Media System in July 2014.
